Infowerk issue industry paper on future technician training - Wednesday, September 28th, 2011
Zirl, Innsbruck, Austria, 30th June – 1st July 2011
A group of maintenance and training experts met at Infowerk’s Innsbruck facility in Austria to discuss the skills required for future aircraft maintenance technicians.
The group agreed that the importance of human factors aspects in aircraft maintenance will increase and that other skills such as information management and situation awareness may outpace the purely technical skills.
The interesting “industry Green Paper”, which may be downloaded here, intends to launch a wider discussion which should lead to general industry recommendations and proposals to drive regulatory changes.
ESMA Aviation Academy extends its network to Africa - Friday, September 16th, 2011
ESMA Aviation Academy has announced the extension of its network to Africa through a representation agreement with Hi-Fly Marketing, a South African based aviation services company.
Whilst the agreement covers all areas, the priority focus is being given to Maintenance and Flight Dispatcher training.
ATR annouce first ATR 72 – 600 to RAM - Monday, September 5th, 2011
Headquartered in Toulouse, ATR is delighted to announce the first ATR 72-600 was delivered to RAM Company (Royal Air Maroc) on the 19th August.
Luigi Baldini, Head of Maintenance Training, said, “with the training of the engineering staff we are delighted to have contributed to the successful introduction of the first ATR 72-600 for Royal Air Maroc”.
“Our ATR training programs have been especially developed to highlight the specifications of ATR aircraft and to meet the needs of the operators.
