AgustaWestland announce the hosting of the 2012 Instructor Seminar - Thursday, November 24th, 2011

Sesto-Calende, Italy, is the venue for the 2012 EAMTC Instructor Seminar.

This highly interactive annual event will be hosted by the AgustaWestland Training Academy, the training organisation of one of the world’s leading helicopter manufacturers.

New Member – Hellenic Aviation Training Academy - Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Theodosios Arpatzoglu, HATA’s Accountable Manager told the EAMTC: –

“The Hellenic Aviation Training Academy (HATA) is located in Markopoulo, Attiki, (near Athens International Airport). We have state-of-the-art training facilities in which we provide quality aviation training services to our customers. We are proud to have EASA Approval number EL.147.0007 for Basic and Type Training courses.

HATA has a staff of instructors and administrative support personnel who design, develop and deliver training to meet all our customers’ needs. We train students from around the world.

Our mission is to enhance knowledge support by providing world-class training for our customers. We will do all we can to ensure that the time our customers spend with us is time well spent and will be always remembered.

HATA includes more than 700 sq. metres of space and houses classrooms, a minitorium, a practical workshop, a restaurant / cafeteria, office space and a study library. We are currently extending our facilities to include a bay equipped with lifts, hoists and major airframe and engine handling tools.

ICAO news – ICAO promotes aviation safety by endorsing English language testing - Monday, November 21st, 2011

To further improve aviation safety worldwide, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has launched a new service to help its Member States more accurately assess the speaking and listening ability in English of pilots and air traffic controllers.

Turkish Airlines B777 Training - Monday, November 7th, 2011

Turkish Airlines announce the scheduling of an EASA Approved (B1 Theoretical) open course for the B777 with GE 90 Engines between the 1st February and 13th March 2012 at their Istanbul facility. It will be followed by the Practical Training the dates for which will be advised once the aircraft availability is confirmed.

Bombardier joins the EAMTC - Saturday, November 5th, 2011

Jean-Marie Francois, Bombardier’s Technical Training Quality Assurance Coordinator, gave the EAMTC a brief overview of Bombardier’s technical training activities.
