Introduction of a regulatory framework for the operation of unmanned aircraft

This opinion is a technical one and hence proposes no draft legal text (implementing rules) beyond that proposed by the Aviation Strategy of the European Commission.

This is not an Agency opinion in the sense meant by Article 19 of the Basic Regulation.

This Technical Opinion is the result of the consultation performed with A-NPA 2015-10. It has been developed in parallel to the draft modifications to Regulation (EC) No 216/2008 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Basic Regulation’) included in the ‘Aviation Strategy to Enhance the Competitiveness of the EU Aviation Sector’ (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Aviation Strategy’), published on 7 December 2015.

AZUL LINHAS AEREAS BRASILEIRAS IMPLEMENTS MINT TRAINING MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE IN RECORD TIME! - Tuesday, November 24th, 2015

Kiel, 23 rd November 2015 – MINT Software Systems recently signed a service agreement with the São Paulo based airline Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras. The training management solution MINT TRMS went live after less than two weeks’ implementation time and will be used as an all-in-one solution for training scheduling, e-grading and records management for all cockpit and cabin personnel and as a full replacement of outdated software systems.

“We are very happy to welcome Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras to the growing MINT user community”, says Christian Hollmann, VP of MINT Software Systems. “Our partners at Azul have selected MINT to substitute their legacy systems, which were in many ways not capable to fulfill their continuously increasing training requirements. Our software experts went on-site right after the contract signature to immediately start the scheduler training and software implementation. Only a few days later our software went live into production and Azul are now building the required qualification structure and training curricula into the MINT database”, he explains.

“We were especially impressed by the extraordinary flexibility of the MINT product and the powerful tools for training scheduling, e-grading and records management”, says José Jovita Mello Filho, IT Manager at Azul. “Additionally, the demonstrated skills implementing the MINT system into operative training branches at several large airlines who were seeking to replace their existing systems, has driven our decision”, he explains.

Q.C.M AG SELECTS MINT FOR QUALITY AND RESOURCES MANAGEMENT - Tuesday, November 17th, 2015

Kiel, 17th November 2015 – MINT Software Systems is announcing the signature of a service agreement with Swiss based company “Q.C.M. quality control management AG” who have recently selected the SaaS version of MINT TRMS for the effective management of their growing EASA Part-147 Maintenance Training Organization.

The company based in Belp, Switzerland, will also apply MINT TRMS to support their EASA Part-M Continuing Airworthiness Management activities, their Part 21 Design Organization as well as the management of all related human and technical resources, even including the management of the hotel rooms at the Q.C.M. campus.

“We are very happy to welcome a customer with such diversified requirements”, says Jörg Latteier, Managing Director of MINT Software Systems. “Q.C.M. quality control management AG have acquired our software because we could prove during our demonstrations that it is capable to be used way beyond the classical training and qualification management purposes it originally has been designed for. This underlines the enormous flexibility and adaptation capability of our versatile system”, he explains.

“I am convinced that MINT TRMS provides the required flexibility to support all of QCM ́s activities. For us it was essential to be able to manage all company relevant data in one database. Additionally, we believe to achieve a vast productivity improvement because we have to move the data from several legacy tools to just one new system”, Markus Enck, CEO of Q.C.M. quality control management AG resumes.

Jörg Latteier adds: “The multi-purpose approach Q.C.M. quality control management AG is taking on with their implementation of the MINT System, will provide a “prove of concept” that will show how our software can handle CAMO, DOA, CRM and even hotel management tasks. We are committed to support QCM with these challenges and we are very excited to start the project implementation together with our new customer in the coming weeks”.
