Instructor vacancies – Finmeccanica - Monday, February 29th, 2016

Finmeccanica Helicopter Division maintenance training organisation seeks Chinese (Mandarin) and Russian speaking candidates for the position of Ground Instructor.

Instructors will be mainly based in Europe; the training delivery will be worldwide.

The position is offered with a one / two year renewable contract.

LRTT – Resource Group Training Manager change - Tuesday, February 16th, 2016

ResourceGroupLogoBT_RGB_Large_HiResLRTT, part of the Resource Group, has announced a change in management in their aviation training area.

Peter Foreman has been appointed as the Training Manager.

Peter was formerly a non-form 4 Training Manger with LRTT – Resource Group having previously been a Technical Instructor with the company. Pater has been in the aviation industry for 15 years.

The former Training Manager, Rob Wheatcroft, has taken a new role within the Resource Group.

RAeS conference – Airworthiness & Maintenance Education & Training 07 Sept - Tuesday, February 16th, 2016

The University of Limerick (UL) will host the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) Conference: ‘Airworthiness & Maintenance Education & Training: Mapping the Way Forward’ on 7th of September 2016.

The conference themes are:

  • The shortage of suitably qualified and experienced personnel – Where is it and how can it be addressed?
  • What skill set does the industry require and are these attributes missing from training and academic programmes?
  • What are the opportunities and challenges of technological advances in airworthiness and maintenance training? The use of simulators and virtual training systems.
  • Training and certification standards for composite maintenance and repair – what is the current status and what will the future requirements be?
  • What are the regulatory challenges which affect airworthiness and maintenance training?
  • International regulations governing aircraft maintenance personnel training and licensing – are they increasingly becoming fragmented or harmonised?

With the highest standards of quality and safety, Air Europa is committed to the environment and the latest technology. AirEuropa was founded under its present name in 1986. Today Globalia is widespread in Europe, America, the Caribbean and North Africa.

The airline’s fleet is one of the continent’s youngest. It consists of 48 aircraft with an average age of less than 4 years. Long distance operations are carried out by 17 Airbus A330 aircraft while medium and short haul operations are performed with 20 Boeing 737-800 and 11 Embraer 190 aircraft.

Starting this year, the company will gradually equip the fleet with the addition of 22 Boeing 787s and 8 Boeing 737s.

AirEuropa’s Technical Training organisation has EASA Part 147 Approval and is headed by Training Manager Luis Miguel Sebastian Gracia.

Personnel changes at LTT - Monday, February 8th, 2016

On 1st of January 2016, Mr Harald Schween will take over the responsibility as Head of Sales & Key Account Management at Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT). He succeeds Mr Thorsten Riekert who left the company mid of November to join Jettainer, a LH Cargo subsidiary.

Mr Schween and his team will work together to build-up and strengthen long-term partnerships with customers and to reposition Lufthansa Technical Training in the global aviation maintenance market.

Additionally, we would like to inform you that Mr Jochen Harms, General Manager of LTTS & LTTP has left the company on 3rd of December 2015 to pursue other opportunities outside the Lufthansa Group.

The responsibilities in LTTS and all sales activities in Asia will assume to Mr Mark Han, Head of Sales (Asia) with effect from 1st of January 2016.

Announcement of personnel changes at LTT

Lapland Vocational College - Friday, February 5th, 2016

lao1Lapland is Finland’s northernmost region. Competent professionals are well sought after in Finland. Each year, the Lapland Vocational College produces skilled professionals to operate in the Finnish economy.

Miikka Kivioja, the Training Manager for the college’s Aviation Maintenance Training department told the EAMTC, “Vocational education provides a good base for further studies, right up to university level. We have EASA Part 147 Approval for our Basic Training courses for the Category A and B Licences. This is part of our vocational training programme. Our graduates are well received both in Finland and further afield. Future occupational success often starts from the Lapland Vocational College.”
