Michael Bourgeois, Training Manager at the IAAG Institute Aeronautique, Merville-Calonne, France, told the EAMTC, “We are delighted to confirm that IAAG will host the 2014 Instructor Seminar.”

Three activities of the Amaury de la Grange training centres are based at the airfield of Merville-Calonne. These are the:

Maintenance training school

Flying school

Workshops for the repair and maintenance of the IAAG flying school’s aircraft

The maintenance training school at the IAAG (Institut Aéronautique d’Amaury de la Grange) has the all facilities and teaching resources required for the theoretical and practical training of student maintenance engineers.

These include training rooms and specialist workshops for practical work experience (electricity, metrology, basic mechanics, sheet metalworking and composite materials).

With the benefit of retired aircraft and engines for practical work experience, the school is able to recreate actual interior and exterior maintenance working conditions.

A computer based examination centre, approved for exams for the issue of Part 66 licences, is part of the school’s facilities.

See IAAG’s details here

Garuda Maintenance Facility AeroAsia or known as GMF AeroAsia is a subsidiarie of PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero).

GMF Learning Services has created a solid training curriculum in cooperation with world class aviation institutions and major manufactures including Boeing, Airbus, General Electric, Rolls Royce, and CFMI.

GMF Learning Services is approved by the Indonesian DGCA as an AMTO (Aircraft Maintenance Training Organisation) with CASR 147 Certification for Basic and Type Training Courses. Soon to be issued will be, EASA Part 147 approval (approval number 147.100) for B737 NG Type Training Courses.

Recently, GMF AeroAsia collaborated with Airbus in a new partnership for A330 type training courses. This collaboration will mean that GMF AeroAsia becomes an extension of the Airbus training centre. Thus, instructors of GMF will be on the list of instructors in the Airbus MTOE (Maintenance Training Organization Exposition).

The 2nd annual aviation training congress China will be held on Oct 18-19 2013 in Xi’an, Shanxi, China. As a part of China International General Aviation Convention 2013 – China’s No.1 and largest General aviation platform, hosted by CAAC and supported by key aviation authorities. It is the only international event on the aviation training market in China.

The relevant departments of China released a circular announcing the decision to intensify the reform of China’s low altitude airspace in November of 2010. The policy gives a huge opportunity to the development of China’s aviation industry.

China’s fast growing general aviation sector boosts the positive outlook on aviation education and training business in China. The strong interest and huge potential in business and private flying also holds clear promise.

The training for business flying, commercial flying air tours and private pilot licenses is becoming increasingly popular in China. However the qualified personnel are far from enough to meet the market demand in the coming years. Aviation training has been a matter of great urgency in China with the CAAC attaching great importance to this event.

The event brochures and details can be seen here.
