Franz Meier, Director of the Swiss Aircraft Maintenance Association (SAMA), said, “We look forward to being active in the EAMTC. Its a great industry platform”.

Franz briefed on the main activities of the SVFB/ASEA/SAMA.

The SVFB is a professional association of Swiss aircraft maintenance organisations, aircraft manufacturers and component manufacturers.

The main goals of the organisation are : -

• the protection of the common interests of its members towards the Authorities and other organisations
• the improvement of aviation safety
• the promotion of aeronautical technical training
• the exchange of experience and the coordination of mutual aid between members

The SVFB has nearly 80 members ranging from small local workshops to companies with a world wide reputation.

The SVFB offers courses from its own resources and those of its membership, where Part 147 Examinations will be organised.
