QAC – New EAMTC Member
The latest organisation to join the EAMTC is Queensland Aerospace College (QAC). The college’s CEO and Managing Director, Harold McDougall said, “We look forward to participating in the Foundation. We are on the other side of the world to many of the Members but in today’s global marketplace we see the Foundation as an important part of our business.”
QAC began in 1990, when in partnership with the Central Queensland University (Division of Distance and Continuing Education), it undertook an Australian Department of Employment Education and Training funded programme for the training of aircraft maintenance engineers. This programme was the beginning of the College.
In January 1993, QAC commenced flying operations, both air charter and flight training and was also registered with the Australian Government for the intake of international Students. Since then Queensland Aerospace has gone from strength to strength.
Many students from overseas have trained with QAC and include students from India, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Western Samoa and Fiji.
The College is approved by EASA and the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
