Thomson Airways – UK’s largest charter airline – newest EAMTC member
Thomson Airways is the latest organisation to join the EAMTC.
Colin Hothersall, the Manager Engineering Training told the EAMTC, “Thomson Airways was set up in 1962 (formally Britannia) and has grown to become the UK’s largest charter airline.
Based at Luton Airport, we have a fleet of 62 planes and fly to more than 80 destinations around the world. We recently won awards for being the most punctual and most environmental airline.
We’ve always been at the forefront of aviation, and will be the first airline in the UK to roll out the new, fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliner.”
Thomson Airways has its main flight and cabin crew training centre at East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington, Derby, UK. Other training facilities are located at Gatwick, Manchester and Luton, where the Part 147 Approved training centre is situated.
